This course covers disposal requirements for generators of hazardous waste materials regulated under the US EPA Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and provides information on the packaging and disposal of medical/infectious waste materials as well as sharps such as needles and broken glass.Both live and online sessions are available. The goal of the training is to provide a basic introduction to laboratory safety topics so that laboratory users understand how to reduce exposures to chemicals and other hazards, and work safely in a laboratory environment. Topics covered will include proper laboratory attire, PPE, work practice controls, chemical classifications and segregation, MSDS, labeling, and hazard communication.
